Suzana Marku, NP-C
Suzana Marku is a Family Nurse Practitioner with state board certification through The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Suzana Marku has further specialized in general women’s health care services and has obtained certification through the prestigious North American Menopause Society (NAMS) for menopausal care and hormone replacement therapy. As founder of Urban Aesthetics and its concierge aesthetic services, Suzana Marku has obtained multiple certifications for advanced aesthetic services and weight loss and continues to be the leading expert at Women’s Excellence for all aesthetic services.

Aristida Marku, BSN, RN
Aristida Pllumaj has received her baccalaureate degree from Oakland University School of Nursing and is recognized as a Registered Nurse with state board certification through the Michigan Board of Nursing.  Aristida Pllumaj has further specialized her career in aesthetic medicine by obtaining certification through Allergan Cosmetics for implementation of Botox, Juvederm and Kybella services. As Urban Aesthetics first Registered Nurse, Aristida Pllumaj is creating a safe and convenient environment for all patients to obtain great medical grade cosmetic services at home or in the office. Aristida Pllumaj has been fully trained and functions under the direct order and supervision of Suzana Marku, NP-C.

Joann Contarino, BSN, RN
Joann Contarino has received her baccalaureate degree from Southern New Hampshire University School of Nursing and is recognized as a Registered Nurse with state board certification through the Michigan Board of Nursing. Joann has furthered her education through Galderma and Allergan to receive multiple Advanced Botox & Filler Injection Certifications. Joann works closely under the supervision and direction of Suzana Marku, NP-C at both our Royal Oak and Lapeer locations. She’s incredibly passionate about helping patients look and feel their best and provides an individualized approach to treating patients through cutting edge non-surgical methods to achieve their aesthetic goals through safe and effective treatments.

Dermaplaning removes dead skin cells and “peach fuzz” on the face using a single blade. Taking off the top layer of dead skin cells helps skin care products absorb better and procedures work better. By removing the top layer of dead skin cells, dermaplaning prevents oils, dead skin, and debris from being trapped inside the follicle.

Used for cosmetics, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and crow’s feet. Botox is also used for Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of underarms) and migraine management.

VERSA™ filler can be used to create volume and smoothness in several areas of the face including lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds, glabella (in between eyes),and tear troughs (under eyes)

JUVÉDERM ULTRA is an advanced dermal filler with a smooth consistency that is excellent to restore volume and hydration for skin elasticity and support. It is selected to treat fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, under the eyes in the tear troughs, and for lip augmentation. It will smooth away smile lines and wrinkles, restore contours and volume, and last up to a year.

JUVÉDERM ULTRA PLUS is thicker and is best to erase deeper folds and wrinkles. It is also used to treat moderate to severe nasolabial folds (folds from the corner of the nose to corner of the mouth), marionette lines (lines from the corners of the mouth to the jaw), and depressed areas of volume loss on the cheeks. It lasts up to a year.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA is the thickest filler in the Juvederm family. This injectable gel instantly adds volume to the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss. ​Lasts up to 2 years with optimal treatment.

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE is injected into the areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur.

JUVÉDERM Volbella, as a thin and soft filler, is designed to smooth perioral lines (known as smokers lines or lipstick lines), the fine lines around the lips, and to softly augment the lips.

Chemical Peels are tailored per patient. Superficial Peels are customized to address minor skin irregularities like discoloration, acne, surface scarring, fine lines, and sun spots.

A moderate chemical peel utilizes a stronger chemical compound to exfoliate the skin.  A moderate peel can typically treat sun damage and age spots, mild to moderate acne scarring, the appearance of freckles, and in some cases, lines and wrinkles on the face.

Latisse is a prescription eyelash growth product to help eyelashes grow longer, thicker, and darker.

Excessive submental fat? Excessive neck sagging? There are treatments available for both! Patients with excessive submental (chin) fat can have a 10-30% reduction in overall appearance in 1-2 treatments of Kybella.

PDO threads are a "newer" intervention on the market for aesthetic medicine. PDO stands for Polydioxanone and is a biodegradable polyester suture that is made entirely of protein. The PDO thread comes in various shapes (smooth vs barbed) and various sizes.
