WHAT IS EMSELLA?
Over 25 million Americans (women more than men) suffer from bladder leakage or incontinence. EMSELLA™ is a painless, non-surgical treatment that addresses the stress or urge caused by urinary incontinence. During your appointment, you will sit comfortably in the EMSELLA™ treatment chair wearing the clothes you walked in with. The chair will then focus on your pelvis, helping to strengthen muscles and restore the support of the pelvic floor. The results of EMSELLA include remarkably decreased incontinence and, for women, a tighter vaginal wall.*
There is no downtime after treatment and each session can be performed easily during your lunch break!
How does it work?
Incontinence is a result of weakened pelvic floor muscles that occur from the body aging, childbirth, and menopause. If your pelvic floor muscles insufficiently support pelvic organs, your bladder control is negatively affected. During EMSELLA™ treatments, the pelvic floor muscles are effectively stimulated with thousands of contractions per session. This stimulation leads to regained control over pelvic floor muscles and your bladder, helping you feel like yourself again!
What can I expect during treatments?
Treatment sessions typically take 30 minutes. During that time, you will be seated in your everyday clothes and are free to relax with your phone, tablet, or a book. As the pelvic floor muscles are stimulated, you will experience tingling and muscle contractions. Most patients describe this treatment process as feeling very comfortable. After your session, you can immediately resume your normal activities. That’s right- EMSELLA™ requires no downtime!
How fast will I see results?
Improvements may begin to be experienced after a single session.* Typically, the results will continue to improve and peak over 12 weeks.
Am I a candidate?
EMSELLA™ is a great option for women or men of any age interested in finding a solution for urinary incontinence and improving their quality of life. We offer complimentary consultations as well.
Is the procedure painful?
No, EMSELLA™ is not painful. At most, you will experience tingling and pelvic floor muscle contractions during the procedure.
