Women’s Excellence is pleased to announce the addition of midwifery services at their newest location in Lapeer, Michigan. The certified nurse midwives at Women’s Excellence have completed both nursing school and an additional graduate degree that specializes in midwifery care.
The midwifery model of care emphasizes a personalized and natural approach to prenatal care, labor, and delivery. In addition to prenatal care, midwives handle a variety of women’s health needs including:
- postpartum care
- preconception counseling
- family planning
- birth control services
- breastfeeding education
- prenatal genetic testing
- menopause symptoms
- gynecologic concerns and infections
- annual gynecologic exams
- breast exams
- other preventive care measures
